The Very Best: Yoshua Alikuti

Straight outta Nairobi, Kenya comes the new single and accompanying visuals from The Very Best. Uplifting as ever. It’s a parody on the A Milli video by Lil’ Wayne.

Drake: HYFR

This right here is my anthem. Hell yea fucking right. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to see Lil’ Wayne in a panda mask?

Sidenote: There have been some weird and wonderful reactions to the video [HERE]

Twenty-eleven is shaping up to be a stellar year for hip-hop and there simply isn’t time to give every blinged up gangster their moment in the spotlight. We’ve all presumably heard Watch The Throne and Tha Carter IV so instead I’ve highlighted some of the quality tracks that might have slipped you by in the last three or four months and slotted them into a twenty song deep mixtape. There are some big acts (Common, Lil Wayne, The Dream) and some up-and-comers (Skizzy Mars, OnCue, Sol) featured on the tasty track-list found HERE. Go on, bop your head and that swag on..

Completing an eight month stint behind bars somewhat slowed down Lil Wayne’s prolific work ethic. But fear not folks because he’s back and he’s got a fresh mixtape to prove it. It’s called Sorry 4 The Wait (download) and is very similar to both Tha Drought 3 and No Ceilings in the sense that Weezy hops onto other artists beats and shows them how they should have teared it up. I’m personally a big fan of ‘mixtape wayne’ and think he actually goes in harder and gets wackier with his raw wordplay. Either way, consider it a starter before Tha Carter IV finally finally drops on August 29. Weeeeezy baby!
