Straight outta Nairobi, Kenya comes the new single and accompanying visuals from The Very Best. Uplifting as ever. It’s a parody on the A Milli video by Lil’ Wayne.
Mothers Day themed mixtapes are few and far between, but that didn’t stop The Very Best (otherwise known as Esau Mwamwaya and Radioclit) from giving it a pop with their latest release SUPER MOM. Reigning from Malawi, Esau sings in a local dialect called Chichewa whilst Radioclit mix the fun beats in the background. The net result is a beautifully joyous combination of music that can’t help but make you move. I have no idea what’s being said but it all feel familiar because they cover songs from the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Kanye West and Cee-Lo Grren. Sorry mum, your card got lost in the post but hopefully these twelve tracks will more than make up for it!
